In the picture, you can see that he's seen something, and in return has flexed certain muscles in his face. We call this a smile, and it's a big step up from the standard blank-faced babyhood.

I pretty much spend the whole time he's awake making him laugh now.

Luck O' The Irish

Duncan has been pretty fussy and the nights have been long as a result. Either we stay up late and get him his midnight feeding, or we go to sleep at 10 and wake up at midnight. Then, on a good night, he's up at 3am for a bottle of formula (with his Wowo) and then again at 6 or so for the breast. That's a good night. On a bad night, like Friday, it's more like he's up every hour or two, fussing/crying/pooping, and not really wanting food but more sort of dabbling in it.

Anyhow, last night Seamus and I sleep in the tent in the backyard. We do it b/c it's cool out, it's fun, et cetera. The deal is that I have the cell phone and KT rings me up at 3am to come feed him. Incredibly, Duncan had his best night yet and I slept my first full night since he was born. That's right...my first full night's sleep since 6/4/08. w00t.

Yeah, It's Been Awhile

So, in the last 14 months...Duncan was born and Seamus turned five. Also...I started a poker blog, microdonk. Katie really really really wants me to start updating here again, so I'm working on it.
